NOTICE: The People First website experienced a loss in service on Nov 2, 2017.  They have corrected the issue but please be aware of longer processing times. Due to the downtime, Open Enrollment has been extended to Friday, November 10, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. (EST). 

This page provides updates and information regarding the year's Open Enrollment changes, activities and helpful links for learning about your benefit options.

Open Enrollment occurs in October/November and is your once-a-year opportunity to make any changes you want to your State Group Insurance benefits. You can change your benefits as many times as you want before the November deadline.

Log in to People First to make your choices and remember to select the green Complete Enrollment button when you are ready to save changes. If you make Open Enrollment changes, look for a mailed confirmation statement in early November. Be sure all changes are correct, any eligible dependents are enrolled in coverage, and any ineligible dependents have been removed.

Open Enrollment begins Monday, October 16, 2017, and ends promptly at 6:00 p.m. (EST) on Friday, November 10, 2017.

Open Enrollment Campus Wide Meetings

The Division of Human Resources will be conducting Open Enrollment Information meetings that will highlight the benefit options for the 2018 Plan Year. These meetings will be held at the following dates and locations.

To attend these meetings, you must sign up through GEMS Self Service. Navigation: Main Menu > Self Service > Learning and Developing > Request Training Enrollment. Click Search by Course Name and type a keyword such as Open Enrollment into the field. You will see a listing of the training offerings. For help with registration, visit the instruction guide.

Open Enrollment Help Sessions

The Division of Human Resources is offering Open Enrollment Help Sessions for those employees who may need assistance navigating the People First website to make their open enrollment elections and changes. You will need to bring your People First ID number, your password for the website and the social security number and date of birth for any dependents you may need to add to your coverage.
